Oc Bolt’s stellar defensive play helped his Fike High varsity boys soccer team win a pair of state playoff games last week, making him this week’s Farris & Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.

Oc, a sophomore center back, helped the Golden Demons blank Pittsboro Northwood 1-0 in the opening round of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association 3-A playoffs Wednesday. On Saturday, Fike gave up the first goal to Hope Mills Gray’s Creek but then held the Bears scoreless the rest of the way in a 2-1 comeback victory.

The son of Barbara and Chris Bolt of Wilson, Oc has a 4.3 GPA at Fike where he takes Advanced Placement and honors courses. Oc is the vice president of Fike’s Beta Club and also is a member of Youth and Government, Young Life, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Chick-fil-A Leader Academy at Fike. He also swims and plays tennis for the Golden Demons.

Oc is active at First Presbyterian Church and plays for the Wilson Youth Soccer Association ’04 Explosion.
