Freshman Holland Miller helped her Wilson Christian Academy girls cross-country team win a fourth North Carolina Christian School Association championship last week, making her this week’s Farris & Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.
Holland finished seventh overall in 24 minutes, 55.2 seconds as the Lady Chargers handily won the team title in the race at Hagan-Stone Park in Pleasant Garden, just outside of Greensboro. Holland, who placed third overall and first for the Lady Chargers at the Wilson County Championship meet earlier in October, was a top finisher for Wilson Christian throughout the season.
The daughter of Allison and Allan Miller of Lucama, Holland has a 4.0 GPA at Wilson Christian, where she takes honors English and honors Spanish I. She also plays basketball and softball for the Lady Chargers, earning NCCSA 2-A all-state acclaim in softball last spring.
She is active at Buckhorn United Methodist Church near Rock Ridge. Holland plays for the North Carolina Ruthless travel softball club.
