Brianna Moore helped her Hunt High varsity volleyball team to three big wins last week, making her this week’s Farris & Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.
Brianna, a senior setter, doled out 37 assists in Hunt’s win over Southern Nash in the 3-A Big East Conference tournament semifinals Monday before posting 50 assists as the Lady Warriors defeated Franklinton for the tourney championship Wednesday. She collected 40 assists in Hunt’s win against Cape Fear in the first round of the state 3-A playoffs Saturday. Brianna also served 24 points and came up with 33 digs in the three matches.
The daughter of Patricia Denton of Wilson and Brian Moore of Wilson, Brianna has a 3.77 GPA while taking all honors and Advanced Placement courses at Hunt. She is a member of the school’s chapter of National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Club Unify. Brianna also serves as an athletic trainer for the Warriors football team.
She has served as a volunteer for the Arts Council of Wilson while working part-time at Subway and also as a swimming instructor for Wilson Parks and Recreation Department.
Brianna plays for the Wilson Elite Volleyball Club.
