Wild Thangz Southern Style Catering & Grill isn’t your typical eatery. Their menu is filled with offerings containing meats such as alligator, deer, ostrich and elk. Not quite that adventurous when it comes to food? No need to worry. You’ll also find seafood, chicken tenders, salads and regular burgers on the menu.
The made-from-scratch recipes on the menu may have been developed by owner Wanda Hales, using wild game brought home by Terry Edwards, but all of the meat on the Wild Thangz menu is farm-raised and purchased from restaurant suppliers. Hales was raised in Wilson and spent her career in the restaurant industry.
From the deer chili to the fried gator, the restaurant is proud to serve fresh flavors that are homemade and never pre-seasoned, seven days a week. In addition to dine-in and take-out service, Wild Thangz also offers catering. The restaurant also offers daily food and drink specials for you to take advantage of.
While you enjoy your savory fried frog legs, seasoned venison tacos or a juicy ostrich burger, you’ll be surrounded by an outdoorsy feel, thanks to the rustic décor found throughout the restaurant.
