A Black Creek man was arrested Monday in connection with a June rape.
Mikal L. Battle, 26, was charged with second-degree rape and two counts of second-degree forcible sexual offense. He was arrested in Wayne County and held under a $500,000 secured bond.
According to Wilson police, officers were dispatched on June 15 to the magistrate’s office. A woman reportedly told police an acquaintance sexually assaulted her at her Wilson home two days prior.
Police investigated the allegations and obtained charges against Battle.
