Authorities are searching for a Wilson man accused of failing to show up for court in Wayne County.

Shaib Awni Zayyad, also known as Sam Zayyad, faces three outstanding orders for arrest on failure to appear charges along with a child support warrant, according to Maj. Richard Lewis of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.

“It is believed that Mr. Zayyad is aware of these outstanding warrants and is actively evading law enforcement,” Lewis said in a news release.

Zayyad’s last known address is 1100 Stoddard Road S. in Wilson, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies say he also has ties to Pitt County and was last known to drive a blue Dodge Caravan.

Zayyad, 28, is about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs about 200 pounds.

Anyone who sees Zayyad or has information on his current whereabouts is asked to call 911 or contact the local law enforcement agency in the jurisdiction where he’s located.
