Police say a man was robbed at gunpoint last week while he sat in his car outside his home.

Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Ward Boulevard at 2:05 p.m. Wednesday. Andreas M. Rodriguez, 38, said that a man robbed him while he was sitting in his vehicle at his home, according to Sgt. Steve Stroud of the Wilson Police Department.

Rodriguez told police the robber was armed with a handgun and demanded money, Stroud said. The robber fled on foot with an unknown amount of money along with a possible accomplice, police said.

Rodriguez was not injured as a result of the incident, Stroud said. Police continue to investigated the case.

Police say the suspects are black and between the ages of 17 and 20. One was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a hood pulled around his face, black pants and black shoes; the other suspect was wearing a white hoodie with a red stripe and white pants.

Police ask anyone with information to call the Wilson Police Department at 252-399-2323 or Crime Stoppers at 252-243-2255.
