Authorities say a Wilson man is accused of taking indecent liberties with a child following a police investigation.

In August, a third party notified police of a possible sexual relationship between a girl and 29-year-old Jeffery E. Coleman Jr., according to Sgt Steve Stroud.

The victim was 15 at the time of the alleged incident, Stroud said. Wilson police arrested Coleman last Wednesday on a charge of taking indecent liberties with a child. Coleman was booked into the Wilson County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Wilson Police Department at 252-399-2323 or Crime Stoppers at 252-243-2255.
