A Wilson man faces multiple charges in connection to a rash of April break-ins that occurred in the Westwood neighborhood. Police arrested 27-year-old Spencer B. King of Wilson earlier this week.
He is charged with three counts of felony breaking and entering, three counts of larceny after breaking and entering and one count each of obtaining property by false pretense and attempted first-degree burglary.
Sgt. Steve Stroud said some of the stolen property was recovered. King was jailed under a $50,000 secured bond.
Several burglaries occurred in the Westwood area in April, which prompted more patrol and a community meeting for residents. Stroud said most were home break-ins, but one was a storage business that was also burglarized.
The culprits stole jewelry, a TV, a leaf blower and case, he said. Most of the break-ins occurred at night.
Police encourage anyone with information regarding this case to call the Wilson Police Department at 252-399-2323 or Crime Stoppers at 252-243-2255.
