STANTONSBURG — Police have charged a 23-year-old Wilson County man with child sex crimes.
Jeremy Tyler Radford was arrested Wednesday on felony charges of taking indecent liberties with a child and computer solicitation of a child following a Stantonsburg Police Department investigation, Police Chief Orlando Rosario said.
The computer solicitation charge involves communicating the intent to commit an unlawful sexual act with a child under 16 who is at least five years younger than the defendant, according to North Carolina law.
Radford was booked into the Wilson County Detention Center under a $20,000 secured bond and made his first court appearance on the charges Friday morning.
Records indicate Radford has no history of criminal convictions resulting in prison time or probation in North Carolina and no other pending charges.
