The Wilson Christian Academy Blue girls basketball team notched its first win against three losses by a 23-13 margin against visiting Bethel Christian on Friday.
The Lady Chargers, up 11-5 at halftime, were led by Reagan Barnes and Kate Hoskins with eight points each.

Behind Matt Kirby’s 14 points, the Greenfield School boys basketball team defeated New Life Christian 50-27 on Friday afternoon.
The Knights visit Faith Christian on Monday.
Darden opens with win vs. Springfield
The visiting Darden boys basketball team rolled to a 48-22 victorry against host Springfield in the season opener for both teams Thursday evening.
The Trojans, ahead 23-11 at halftime, were led by Murray with 13 points and Ellis with nine.
Luke Dilda emerged Springfield’s top scorer with 10 points.
The Wildcats visit Speight next Tuesday.
Elm City edged by Forest Hills
The Forest Hills girls basketball team pulled out a 27-22 win against Elm City in the season opener for both teams Thursday afternoon.
The Lady Vikings were led in scoring by Avery Lentz and Naveah Wilder with eight points each.
Forest Hills’ scoring leaders were not provided.
Elm City opposes South Edgecombe on Monday, while Forest Hills goes against Toisnot.
Bucks rout Vikings 61-37
Placing three players in double figures, the Forest Hills boys basketball team pulled away in the second half for a comfortable 61-37 win over Elm City in the season opener for both teams Thursday.
Christian Joyner netted 20 points for the Bucks as Davon Jones and TyChaun Clay had 16 and 15 points, respectively.
Christian Battle paced Elm City with 15 points. Bryson Summerlin produced five points, while J.D. Graziani provided spark on loose balls.
Forest Hills is home to Toisnot on Monday afternoon.
Atkinson, Thompas lead Toisnot win
PINETOPS — Tough defense keyed the visiting Toisnot boys basketball team to a 48-32 victory against South Edgecombe in the season opener for both teams Thursday.
Leading the Hawks were Kyshon Atkinson with 13 points and five steals and Devontay Thomas with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Toisnot opposes Forest Hills on Monday.
