The greater Wilson area is in for a soggy Saturday, but a high-pressure system asserting itself this weekend should chase the clouds away and bring sunshine through at least Wednesday.

Rain should continue into Saturday morning and taper off during the day, with precipitation chances falling from 80 percent at sunrise to 60 percent at noon to 40 percent by midafternoon, Albert Thomas Jr. explains in this weekend installment of The Wilson Times Weathercast brought to you by NCWheels.com.

Daytime highs should be in the upper 50s on Sunday and Monday and around 50 degrees Tuesday.

ABOUT THE WEATHERCAST

Albert Thomas Jr., a Wilson attorney and retired judge, will weigh in on Wilson's weather conditions each Tuesday and Saturday. Thomas is a forecast aficionado who recalls Wilson community weatherman Joe Overman's broadcasts on WVOT radio.
