Authorities arrested two Wilson men in connection to Saturday’s shooting that left another man dead. Wilson Police and members of the U.S. Marshals Carolina Regional Task Force arrested and charged 26-year-old Miquail Q. Crumbley and 24-year-old Jeremy T. Barnes. Both face each face a charge of first-degree murder in the shooting death of 32-year-old Arsenio K. Gaskins. Crumbley and Barnes are being held under no bond, officials said.

Officers were called to the 1500 block of Cargill Avenue at 2:48 a.m. Saturday after 911 callers reported shots fired. That’s when police found Gaskins suffering from a gunshot wound. Gaskins died of his injuries at the scene. Police have not released the motive behind the killing. “The Wilson Police Department would like to thank members of the U.S. Marshals Carolina Regional Task Force for their assistance in the case,” said Sgt. Steve Stroud. Police ask anyone with information regarding this case to contact the Wilson Police Department at 252-399-2323 or Crime Stoppers at 252-243-2255.
