Re: “Trump humiliates US on world stage,” by Merrell Washington, Tuesday:
Thank you for your early Christmas gift by posting such an erroneous letter Tuesday. It is going to be so easy to disprove each point.
First, what Rick Perry says is not something President Trump says anymore than what you say is what Putin says.
Second, are our allies laughing at us or merely two leftist, pantywaist leaders, Trudeau and Macron? I don’t think the people these two shallow, one-dimensional poseurs represent are “all” laughing at us. Like America, Nancy Pelosi and Jerry Nadler do not represent “all” Americans, so be cautious about projecting these two weasels’ personalities on “all” of Europe.
Finally, given that Russia relies on fossil fuel exports for its economy, I imagine Donald Trump encouraging and fostering our oil production to the extent it has blossomed in the last three years is a rather large thorn in Putin’s side. Now toss in an increased military budget and appreciating our military in the manner the previous globalist president did not and it is quite apparent, logical and obvious that America under President Trump is actually causing more tears in Moscow than smiles in spite of CNN, MSNBC and the New York Times imagining, supposing and assuming otherwise.
While I completely disagree with you, I am glad you live in America and not Canada, France or Venezuela. Lucky you.
