After eight years of lies and more lies, the transparency of the Trump administration is a breath of fresh air.

The lies started before Obama took office, but we all remember his lies about the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act: if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor; if you like your health insurance policy, you can keep your health insurance policy; a whooper “most young Americans right now, they are not covered, by health insurance;” and another whopper: We will decrease health insurance premiums for a family of four by $2,500.

What about the lies around Benghazi claiming the attack on the U.S. consulate was caused by a video when in reality the attack was a preplanned attack by terrorists?

Obama’s lie of “I didn’t raise taxes once” when there are 21 tax increases in the Affordable Care Act alone that affect the middle class. What about the increases in the personal income tax and the capital gains tax? The big one that affects middle-income earners is the tax on oil that will increase the cost of gas for your car and the fuel to heat your homes.

President Trump has been able to keep many of his campaign promises without the help of Congress. Congress is and has been an obstacle in the way of President Trump keeping his campaign promises. Not only have the Democrats been obstructionists, so have the Republicans.

As an independent, I am looking for the repeal of the Affordable Care Act. This act has done more damage to the economy than any other legislation passed in the history of the United States! It has destroyed jobs and converted many full-time jobs to part-time. Many families are struggling even when the breadwinner is working two or three jobs to earn the wages he earned before Obamacare!

Most of all, I am looking to the construction of the border wall. We cannot be a sound nation without secure borders. It is time that we secured ourselves from those who wish to do harm to the United States.
