The Wilson Tobs summer collegiate baseball team will hold its annual College Prospects Camp for high school players on Wednesday, Oct. 25, in Fleming Stadium.
The camp, which will feature Tobs head coach and Davidson College assistant coach Aaron Lynch and Barton College interim head coach Dillon Rudio as instructors, is designed to allow unsigned high school seniors, juniors and sophomores the chance to showcase their skills in front of college coaches prior to the NCAA recruiting dead period in early November.
Participants will be evaluated on their skills via a professional tryout system used by many Major League Baseball organizations. There will also be a simulated scrimmage and a personal marketing discussion. All participants will receive an evaluation form that projects their level of collegiate potential.
The camp will begin at 4 p.m. with orientation and warm-ups and conclude at 8 p.m.
The pre-registration cost is $100 per participant (or $80 for Tobs Fall League players) and must be completed by Monday, Oct. 23. Onsite registration is $120. Snacks and beverages will be provided and the concession stand inside Fleming Stadium will be open.
