1. When you hit your thumb with a hammer, is it your fault or the hammer’s?
Isn’t a gun a tool just like a hammer is a tool? For those of you who blamed the hammer, I am truly sorry, but there is no cure for stupid. For the other 99 percent, wouldn’t it be nice if we could end the idiotic blather about guns and think about some real solutions? Questions 2 and 3 are only my opinions, but I hope they might lead to fruitful discussion.
2. How much of a factor in the next shooting is the media’s constant and endless coverage of the last shooter? Isn’t the next shooter captivated by the celebrity and desirous of the same for himself?
3. Has a school shooter ever been executed? What if the last shooter was executed in a timely manner, say within 48 hours? Preferably in an extremely slow and painful manner. Wouldn’t the next shooter realize that he would be dead rather than being a celebrity and maybe decide not to be the next?
