Savannah Pierce helped her Beddingfield High varsity softball to three wins last week, making her this week’s Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.

Savannah, a senior first baseman and co-captain, collected four hits and drove in three runs as well as playing steady defense as the Lady Bruins defeated Nash Central, Northern Nash and Southern Wayne to remain unbeaten through five games.

Savannah has a 3.85 GPA at Beddingfield, where she takes all Advanced Placement and honors courses. She is a member of the school’s chapter of National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Health Occupations Students of America.

She also played volleyball for the Lady Bruins and has worked as a volunteer in the concession stands for Beddingfield athletic events.

The daughter of Melanie Cline-Pierce and Reid Pierce of Stantonsburg, Savannah plans to attend Meredith College and major in exercise science.

She played travel softball for the Cleveland Angels Elite and works part-time at Bridgersville Store and Grill.
