Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week: Rachel Boswell, Fike High

Rachel Boswell helped her Fike High girls tennis team sew up the 3-A Big East Conference championship last week, making her this week’s Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.

Rachel, a senior co-captain, went 2-0 in singles as the Lady Demons defeated Northern Nash and Hunt to complete an unbeaten conference Season. Rachel teamed with Logan Adkins to win at No. 1 doubles versus Hunt. For the season, Rachel is 13-5 in singles and 10-0 in doubles in helping Fike to a 17-0 record.

The daughter of Windy Boswell and Tommy Boswell, both of Wilson, Rachel has a 4.79 weighted GPA and is ranked No. 12 in her class entering her senior year. She is a member of the school’s chapter of National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society and Student Booster Club. Rachel is also a co-founder of the school’s Beta Club.

She participates as a tutor for Fike’s AVID program at Gardners Elementary School and is in the Chick-fil-A Leadership Academy.

Rachel worked as a summer camp counselor for Wilson Parks and Recreation Department and plays for the Wilson Youth Soccer Association ‘99 Explosion.
