Senior goalkeeper Kimberly Lamm was integral to her Wilson Christian Academy varsity girls soccer team’s march to the North Carolina Christian School Association 2-A championship last week, making her this week’s Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.
In the Lady Chargers’ three victories to claim their first state title since 2010, Kimberly racked up 28 saves — including 15 in Saturday’s thrilling four-overtime victory over Alamance Christian in the final.
The daughter of Hubert and Cathy Lamm of Wilson, Kimberly has a 4.6 weighted GPA at Wilson Christian, where she takes all Advanced Placement and honors courses. She is a member of WCA’s chapter of National Honor Society and played volleyball and basketball for the Lady Chargers.
Kimberly is active at Daniels Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Wilson and has helped as a volunteer instructor at Wilson Christian’s summer soccer camps. She played for the Wilson Youth Soccer Association ‘98 Explosion.
Kimberly will continue her soccer career at North Carolina Wesleyan College, where she plans to major in sports administration.
