Jadore Lucas-Barnes helped her Wilson Prep Academy varsity girls basketball team extend its winning streak to 14 games with two wins last week, making her this week’s Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.
Jadore, a senior wing, averaged 18 points and eight rebounds as the Lady Tigers pounded North East Carolina Prep and New Life Christian on consecutive nights.
The daughter of Kelly Lucas-Barnes and Navoa Barnes of Wilson, Jadore has a 3.8 weighted GPA while taking all honors and Advanced Placement courses at Wilson Prep. She is a member of the school’s chapter of National Honor Society and Beta Club and played volleyball for the Lady Tigers.
She takes dance at Passion In Motion Dance Studio, where she is a studio captain and helps teach. Jadore also sings in the choir at Three Tabernacle Holiness Church in Kenly.
She hopes to continue her basketball career at University of Lynchburg (Virginia) next year.
