Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week: Brendan Nance, Hunt High

Senior striker Brendan Nance helped his Hunt High varsity boys soccer team to a pair of 3-A Big East Conference victories last week, making him this week’s Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.

Brendan had a goal and an assist in the Warriors’ 2-1 victory Monday, Sept. 25, at Southern Nash. Hunt followed that with a 1-0 win at home against Franklinton. For the season, Brendan has scored 14 goals to go with 10 assists for 38 points.

He has a 3.875 GPA while taking Advanced Placement and honors courses at Hunt, where he is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Headbands for Hope and Club UNIFY. Brandon is also the kicker for the Warriors varsity football team.

The son of Angie and Jamie Nance of Wilson, Brandon has worked as a volunteer for Habitat of Humanity and works part-time as a youth soccer referee for Wilson Parks and Recreation Department and Wilson Youth Soccer Association. He also drives the hospitality golf cart at Joyner’s Funeral Home.

Brandon plays club soccer for the North Carolina Football Club 99 boys team.
