Junior Anne Elliott Taylor triggered her Fike High varsity girls soccer team to its first win Saturday, making her this week’s Thomas Law Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.
She launched a pair of free-kick goals as the Lady Demons defeated Jacksonville White Oak 3-0 in the Battle at the Beach at OSCA Complex in Maysville.
The daughter of Lovie and Stephen Taylor of Wilson, Anne Elliott has a 4.35 weighted GPA at Fike where she takes all Advanced Placement and honors courses. She is a member of the school’s chapter of National Honor Society and Fellowship of Christian Athletes and runs track. She has won the Academic Excellence Award at Fike both of her first two years.
Anne Elliott is active in her youth group at First Presbyterian Church of Wilson and has served as a volunteer for Children’s Hunger Elimination of Wilson and at the Wilson Parks and Recreation Department’s Christmas Train of Lights.
Anne Elliott plays for the Greensboro-based NC Fusion ECNL club soccer team.
