SUMMER CAMP BRIEFS: Southern Nash to hold Firebird Basketball Camp on June 17-18

Southern Nash High will host its annual Firebird Basketball Camp on Friday and Saturday, June 17-18, from 6-8 p.m.

The camp is for boys and girls who will be in grades 4-8 for next school year. The camp will be directed by Firebirds head coach Robbie Kennedy and Ladybirds head coach Jordan Bass with Southern Nash players helping campers and going through drills with them.

The cost is $20 per camper and registration forms should be turned in by June 14. There will be registration on the first day of camp but pre-registration is appreciated.

Volleyball camp at CBA is July 9-11

C.B. Aycock High volleyball coach Tangela Faulkner announces the school will host the Carolina Shockwave Volleyball Club Summer Camp, Tuesday-Thursday, July 9-11.

The Ages 9-13 camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon and the Ages 14-18 camp will go from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The camp will be directed by Louisburg College head coach Jonathan Paulk and North Carolina Central University assistant coach Emma Celentano.

The cost of the camp is $130 per participant if registered by 5 p.m. on Friday, June 14, and $150 afterwards. Registration can be done online at www.ncshockwave.com.
