Martha Wrenn, chairwoman of the WhirliDogs Training Center Advisory Board, second from right, accepts a $5,000 donation from the Bridgestone Americas Wilson Plant. Presenting the check to Wrenn are Bruce Dechaine, controller; Carla Stakes, assistant controller; and Tony Powell, plant human relations manager. These funds will be used to help support WhirliDogs’ mission of establishing a vocational training center encompassing a café and a consignment gift shop in downtown Wilson. WhirliDogs will offer work-based learning opportunities for adults with disabilities who wish to pursue a career in the hospitality industry.
