Spend ‘An Evening in Paris’ Sunday at ProMusic

ProMusic Conservatory at 105 Nash St. will present “An Evening in Paris” buffet concert at 6 p.m. Sunday.

The buffet will include a full menu of French cuisine.

The concert will feature senior clarinet student Chizoba Uwakwe performing the clarinet sonata in E-flat major by the French composer Camille Saint-Saens. She will be accompanied by her brother, piano student Chibby Uwakwe, who will also perform “The Children’s Corner” by another Frenchman, Claude Debussy.

Four other students will be performing compositions that have a French connection either by style or image. “Kaleidoscope,” performed by piano students Aidan Minior and Bennett Durham, is a set of pieces describing different scenes. Gray Tyson will perform selections from “At Lake Nojiri,” a set of pieces describing scenes on the lake. Isaac Yelverton will be performing “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Miserables.”

The event is open to the public. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the ProMusic Conservatory. For more information, call 252-291-3386.
