The anticipation of rain in the area Saturday night has prompted Southern National Motorsports Park officials to postpone its season opener one week to Saturday, March 26.

With forecast models predicting anywhere from a 70- to a 90-percent chance of rain, the decision was made to postpone the race. Additional consideration was given other to other season-opening events at Orange County Speedway and South Boston (Virginia) Speedway.
