From home improvements to restaurants and shops, the Wilson Chamber of Commerce Spring Expo has it all and the event on Saturday is free to attend.
“Consider the Wilson Spring Expo a sampling of area businesses intended to get you thinking about personal and business projects you’ve been putting off for better weather,” said chamber President Ryan Simons. “Everything from landscaping to health care to business services are among more than 100 vendors displaying products and services available right here in Wilson. Add to that arts and crafts, kids activities and food trucks, the Wilson Spring Expo is a free family-friendly event that offers something for everyone.”
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Simons said he anticipates several thousand people to converge on the Wilson County Fairgrounds to learn more about local companies and services.
“At the Wilson Chamber of Commerce, we can’t stress enough how important it is to support our local businesses,” he said. “The Wilson Spring Expo is a great way to be introduced to products and services available in our market, and many come away surprised at how much Wilson has to offer.
“Our goal is to make sure that businesses that are some of our best-kept secrets aren’t so secret anymore.”
Event sponsors, chamber staff and vendors have been working tirelessly in recent weeks to prepare for the expo.
“We’ve made some modifications with how the space is laid out, such as adding more full-size booths in one building, and consolidating tabletop exhibits to another,” Simons said. “We expect these changes to result in a better visitor experience and greater visibility for our vendors.”
