The teams of Beth Rhyne-Debbie Webb and Marybeth Coyte-Marianne Davis golfed their way to top honors in the recent Ladies’ Member Invitational at Wilson Country Club.
Placed in the First Flight, Rhyne-Webb seized low gross with a 75, while Coyte-Davis sizzled to low net with a 59.
Triumphant in the Second Flight were Charlene Harrison-Pam Boyd, low gross of 91; and Sandy Putnam-Katherine Rea, low net of 64.
Proximity winners were Boyd, straightest drive on the No. 1 fairway; Rhyne, longest putt on the No. 10 green; Debbie Keely, closest tee shot to the pin on No. 17; and Melba Martin, closest to the pin on No. 3.
Martin left no doubt — carding a hole-in-one on the 88-yard, par-3, No. 3 layout. An 8-iron was her club of choice.
The field consisted of member-member and member-guest twosomes with a them of “Margaritaville ... it’s 5 o’clock somewhere.”
