Jim Lyndon shared these pictures of Edna Hall, who was crowned tobacco princess during the Tobacco Festival in Wilson. She is shown at left wearing her crown made of a tobacco leaf. The photo at right shows the back and train of her dress, which were also fashioned from tobacco leaves. The Wilson Times is publishing historical photos of Wilson County life and landmarks in this space each day. To share your snapshots, email the picture and caption to Lori Parrish at email@example.com with the subject line “Remember When” or bring it to the Times office at 2001 Downing St. SW during regular business hours.
