Wilson's 1972 All-America City designation brought out major politicians to help the town celebrate, including Wilson Mayor H.P. Benton Jr.; Gov. James Holshouser; Lt. Gov. James B. Hunt Jr.; Terry Sanford, former governor of North Carolina and then president of Duke University; and Michigan Gov. George Romney.  The Wilson Times is publishing historical photos of Wilson County life and landmarks. To share your snapshots, email the picture and caption to Lori Parrish at lori@wilsontimes.com with the subject line Remember When or bring it to the Times office at 126 Nash St. during regular business hours.
