Raleigh Road Parkway medians in need of attention

Every time I drive on Raleigh Road Parkway in front of the shopping centers between Zaxby’s and Harris Teeter, I am disgusted with the attempt to “landscape” that strip that divides the four lanes of traffic.

The city or county or whatever department planted that area should be ashamed. Initially, it was planted and later dug up, after no one took responsibility for its care. Then, it was planted a second time with shrubs and something else that again, no one has mowed, trimmed, weeded or tended in any manner.

What a waste of resources! Why bother to plant anything there at all? They need to just go ahead and pour concrete and put those ugly metal stakes up like the ones further down Raleigh Road since no one can seem to take care of anything alive and green.
