Erin Pope netted five goals Wednesday afternoon to lead the Elm City girls soccer team to a 7-0 shutout of host Speight.

Pope added a pair of assists for the Lady Vikings, unbeaten through three games. Hannah Mosley added a goal and provided two assists.

Ashlyn Brunetti was also credited with a goal.

Elm City, which led 4-0 at halftime, got two assists from Caroline Adkins and another from Hayley Selfe.

The Lady Vikings visit Springfield on Monday.

The Forest Hills girls soccer team evened its record at 1-1 with a 9-0 victory over West Edgecombe on Wednesday.

Kaley Gesell led Forest Hills with four goals, with Logan Boone adding two. Rayne Philpot, Kaylin Younes and Ryley Pridgen tacked on one goal each for the Lady Bucks.
