Wilson police are looking for the suspect in a robbery that occurred Friday morning at the BB&T branch on South Tarboro Street.

Law enforcement responded to the bank located at 1604 S. Tarboro St. at 9:14 a.m. in regards to a robbery. When officers arrived, they spoke to a bank employee who said that a man robbed the bank of an unknown amount of a money, according to Sgt. Steve Stroud.

He said no one was injured as a result of the robbery.

Police released a surveillance photograph of the suspect and describe him as a black man who is about 25 years old with dreadlocks who was wearing a red shirt with a yellow logo, blue jeans and a black hat. Police said the suspect is possibly driving a light gray Chevrolet Impala.

Yellow crime scene tape surrounded the building Friday morning. Two police cars blocked the entrance and exit to the BB&T branch as well. The bank was closed for several hours and reopened at 2 p.m.
