Wilson police seek leads in man's shooting

Wilson police say a 39-year-old man was shot several times Friday afternoon on Manchester Street.

Officers responded to the 400 block of Manchester Street at 12:35 p.m. regarding a person who had been shot. When officers arrived, they found Jonathon E. Arrington of Wilson suffering from several gunshot wounds to his pelvic area, according to Sgt. Steve Stroud.

Arrington was taken to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville for treatment, police said.

No arrests have been made in the case. Police are still actively investigating the shooting.
