Wilson police are investigating a Thursday morning armed robbery at a convenience store.

Police responded to a 4:03 a.m. call to the Circle K at 4940 Raleigh Road Parkway. Officers spoke to the store clerk, who said two men entered the store armed with a handgun and demanded money. The robbers stole an unknown amount of money, according to police.

The two men fled the store on foot and got into a dark sedan that was parked across the street from the business, according to Sgt. Steve Stroud. No one was injured as a result of the holdup.

On Friday, the department released surveillance photographs of the alleged perpetrators in the robbery.

Police ask anyone with information to call the Wilson Police Department at 252-399-2323 or Crime Stoppers at 252-243-2255.
