Police say someone broke into five storage sheds on the same Wilson street over the course of two days.

Between July 28 and July 29, the Wilson Police Department received four reports of shed break-ins on the 2400 block of Womble Street and one report of a shed break-in on the 2500 block of Womble Street, police spokesman Sgt. Steve Stroud said.

The perpetrator was able to enter three of the sheds and stole a leaf blower and power washer. Police have not identified a suspect in the cases.

Stroud said the shed break-ins will be a topic of discussion during the Wilson Police Department’s “Chat with a Commander” community meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15 at the Lida Blalock Building, 1801-A Glendale Drive.

Anyone with information on the shed break-ins is asked to call the Wilson Police Department at 252-399-2323 or Crime Stoppers at 252-243-2255.
