A Lucama man faces attempted murder charges after police say he shot and injured two people on Monday.
Police responded to the 1800 block of Petalcrest Circle shooting at 12:45 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found 21-year-old Tyrone R. Best and 22-year-old Ashley T. Best suffering from “gunshot wounds to their extremities,” said Sgt. Steve Stroud.
During the investigation, police determined that 24-year-old Travaris M. Holloman got into a fight with Tyrone Best, police said. Holloman left the home and came back with a handgun, police said. That’s when Ashley Best got in between Holloman and Tyrone Best.
Police said Holloman shot both Tyrone Best and Ashley Best.
Holloman fled before police arrived, authorities said.
Both shooting victims were taken to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville for treatment, police said.
Police arrested Holloman on Tuesday.
He is charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
Holloman received a $400,000 secured bond.
