Police are investigating a Wednesday robbery at a Wilson convenience store.

Officers responded to a 1:02 a.m. call to the Circle K located at 2877 Ward Blvd. When police arrived, they spoke to the store clerk, who said a man entered the business and demanded money, according to Sgt. Steve Stroud. The man indicated he had a weapon of some type, Stroud said.

The man fled the business in a silver or gray two-door Honda passenger car with an undisclosed amount of money.

No one was injured as a result of the incident.

Police released a surveillance photograph of the robbery suspect, who officials describe as a black man between the ages of 18 to 20, wearing a dark blue North Face jacket, dark mask covering his face and white gloves.

Police ask anyone with information to call the Wilson Police Department at 252-399-2323 or Crime Stoppers at 252-243-2255.
