Police: Gunshots fired during fight

Detective B. Woodard, Officer P. Cazares, Officer J. Davies and Sgt. B. Boykin of the Wilson Police Department review evidence following a shots-fired call at the Shell station at 3801 Nash St. N. on Monday afternoon. Police were called to the convenience store at 3:03 p.m. Witnesses told officers that  a gun was fired during a fight involving several people, according to Sgt. Steve Stroud. The individuals involved left the area before police arrived. Stroud said one of the people involved in the fight was located and released following an interview. Police are investigating the incident and ask anyone with information to call the Wilson Police Department at 252-399-2323 or Crime Stoppers at 252-243-2255.
