The Wilson Police Department’s Forensic Unit will host a public open house from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at its headquarters. The event is free and will be held in celebration of Forensic Science Week.

Forensic analysts will showcase the police department’s forensic facilities and capabilities as well as give a tour, provide demonstrations and answer questions. Groups of 20-30 people will be rotated through the forensic unit. Each group session should take roughly 15-30 minutes.

Officials say the open house will provide Wilson residents an opportunity to see what forensic analysts do on a daily basis.
