Josh Pate, Wilson County resource conservationist, has been named soil and water conservation director.

He has served 11 years with Wilson County government and brings his experience as a river basin technician and resource conservationist into his leadership role.

Pate holds an associate degree in horticulture from Lenoir Community College and is certified in environmental education.

“Helping people and caring about our natural resources is exciting to me,” Pate said. “I look forward to working together with everyone in Wilson County to build upon our great programs and services.”
