The Opportunities Industrialization Center of Wilson will hold its quarterly emergency food distribution from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday at OIC headquarters, 801 Reid St. E.
Qualified applications on fixed incomes, those receiving public assistance and Wilson County residents are welcome to attend.
Items that will be distributed to each qualified applicant include apple juice, garbanzo beans, canned pork, pork patty, dried cherries, cranberry juice, pears, cheese, eggs, veggie mix, fresh apples, fish, potatoes, dry beans, lentils, orange juice, peanut butter, plums, navy beans, cheese loaves, macaroni and cheese, pork loin roast, pulled pork, rice, dry split beans, cheese chunks, sweet potatoes, bacon and assorted pastries.
During this quarter’s distribution, free confidential health screenings for health disparities including diabetes, high blood pressure and communicable diseases will be provided.
This is an all-volunteer project.
