Kenly Town Councilman Trinity Henderson posted on Facebook that the investigation is examining “possible falsified police reports and illegal searches.” No one involved in the investigation has confirmed that claim. Douglas disclosed Monday, Sept. 23 that one Kenly police officer has been placed on administrative leave but he refused to release the officer's name. State law requires government agencies to provide information on public employees’ promotions, demotions, transfers, suspensions and other disciplinary actions.
