I’m not clear on the responsibility or the power of final decisions Wilson County commissioners have in our community. For years, however, I’ve read and looked at numerous pictures, articles, discussions, votes and completions on things about parks, sidewalks, storefronts, trees and in general, how to make our area “look beautiful” and welcoming to citizens and visitors. Important things? I guess, if we want to attract people or companies to our area.
At the end of the day, though, it’s about the quality and comfort of everyday life. A roof over your head, food and water, a comfortable and safe place to lie down at night. The pets and animals we allow to be born here depend on people to feed and care for them.
Stop talking! Build these loving, loyal pets a comfortable home. They are living and feeling creatures. Sounds silly, I guess, but put yourself in their place for even a few hours. The need is very real — the animal shelter is way overdue!
