FREDERICK, Md. — Trent Clark had a career-high five hits as the Carolina Mudcats pulled out a 10-8 victory in 12 innings over the Frederick Keys on Sunday in the finale of their Single-A Carolina League road series.

Jake Gatewood’s solo home run gave Carolina (10-13) the lead in the top of the 12th. Nate Griep (2-0) got the win relief. Clark was 5 for 6 with three RBIs.

The Mudcats open a seven-game homestand Monday against the Buies Creek Astros.
