Mr. and Mrs. Woodruff celebrate 50th anniversary

Johnny and Brenda Woodruff celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 27 with a marriage vow renewal ceremony at their home. Pastor Wayne Whitley officiated. A reception followed.The event was hosted by the couple’s daughter, Doreen Woodruff Bass; Morris Jones; and the couple’s grandchildren, Jolyn Bass, Jonathan Bass and Danielle Sutton.

The couple’s beloved daughter, the late Rochelle Woodruff, was honored and remembered at the event. Although she was not able to share in the joyous occasion, she was, she is and forever will be in their hearts and on their minds.

Mr. Woodruff is the owner of Woodruff Painting Service. Mrs. Woodruff is retired and is a caregiver.

They have two children, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Woodruff is the former Brenda Joyce Williams of Wilson. They were married Aug. 27, 1966.
