Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Moore celebrated their 55th anniversary March 18 with a trip to Boone.

Mr. Moore was a truck driver for Thurston Motor Lines in Wilson and Yellow Freight. Mrs. Moore was the installation and repair clerk for Carolina Telephone in Wilson and Rocky Mount and the investigative department of Carolina Telephone in Wilson.

The couple have a son, Michael Moore of New York City.

Mr. and Mrs. Moore were married in Spring Hill Presbyterian Church in Lucama, March 18, 1962. She is the former Ann Love of Lucama.
