This year’s Fourth of July event is fireworks only. There will be a few food vendors. Gates open at 6 p.m. Those attending can take chairs or blankets onto the midway, but no tents. There is no admission fee.

1st Fridays on the Lawn

Join the City of Wilson’s kickoff event for the annual 1st Fridays on the Lawn community concerts. Free event with food vendors and a children’s area. Featured band is On the Edge. Collecting socks for men, women and children as part of a donation drive to support Hope Station’s new Westview House-family shelter.

The outdoor exhibition on Nash Street focuses on the theme “Main Street, a Crossroad of Culture,” as interpreted by the individual photographers. This event will continue through Aug. 4.
