Merck representative Wendy Winslow, left, presents a $30,000 check to Wilson Education Partnership Executive Director Robin Williams. The WEP was awarded a Neighborhood of Choice grant to help with the Career Connections STEM program. Throughout the school year, students will be engaged with community businesses and leaders to learn about careers in STEM. Mini career fairs, Lunch with an Engineer/STEM professional and guest speakers in classrooms are just a few of the opportunities students are receiving. The grant also helped purchase STEM equipment for all middle schools to enhance the science curriculum.
